I remember long afternoons
when the endless sky loomed
and thunderheads rolled in on a whim
When Saturdays gave way to Sunday
and Sunday passed by in a flash

I remember waking
to the sound of engines rumbling
in the distance
Steel on steel in the haze
Whistle piercing the foggy morning

I remember making my way home
after a night out
Cruising the darkened streets
until dawn broke
filling the east with light

Most of all

I remember you
Walking by my station
Dancing in my dreams
Placing all your trust
in my heart
